Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Underground Games LLC (“Underground Games,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://undergroundgames.xyz or use our games and services (together, the “Services”), including Unfolded Globe and Mahjong Underground. Individual apps may provide their own supplementary privacy notice; where they do, it works alongside this one.

Information we collect

Information stored on your device

By default, your game progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We don't need an account for you to play, and that data stays with you unless a specific feature (like cloud sync or real-time co-op) requires sending it to us.

Information you give us

If you email us, create an account, or buy a membership, we receive what you provide — such as your email address and the contents of your message. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not by us (see below).

Information collected automatically

Like most online services, we and our providers automatically receive limited technical data — such as device type, general (non-precise) location inferred from your IP address, app or page interactions, and diagnostics — to keep the Services working, secure, and improving.

The services we use

• Analytics — PostHog. We use PostHog to understand how the Services are used (which features people reach, where things break) so we can make them better. We configure it to avoid collecting more than we need.
• Advertising — Google. Some of our Services may show ads served through Google's advertising products. Google may use cookies or device identifiers to provide and measure ads. See Google's policies for how they handle that data. We do not promise any particular ad experience will always be present or absent.
• Payments — Stripe. Purchases and memberships made directly with us are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment information needed to complete your transaction; we receive confirmation and limited billing details, not your full card number. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by those platforms under their terms.
• Hosting & delivery — Cloudflare. Our website and services are hosted and delivered via Cloudflare, which also provides security and performance features and processes technical request data on our behalf.
• Accounts — Clerk. When you choose to create an account, our authentication provider Clerk processes your name and email to sign you in and secure your account.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the Services;
• To process purchases and memberships;
• To understand and improve how our games and site are used;
• To show and measure advertising in Services that include it;
• To respond to your questions and provide support;
• To comply with law and enforce our Terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and some Services use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, to remember your preferences (like your theme), for analytics, and — where applicable — for advertising. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings; disabling some may affect how the Services work.

How we share information

We share information only with the service providers named above (acting on our instructions), when required by law or to protect rights and safety, and in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense defined by California law without offering you a choice where one is required.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here — for example, to run your account or membership, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Data stored on your device stays until you delete it or remove the app.

Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@undergroundgames.xyz and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of it, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

EEA/UK (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights above and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and improving the Services, your consent (for example, for certain cookies or ads), and compliance with legal obligations.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit what we collect in the first place.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll provide a more prominent notice where appropriate.
